WHAT IS 7v7 FOOTBALL?
7v7 football is a fast-paced, non-contact format of the game designed to develop quarterbacks, receivers, and defensive backs in a competitive but safe environment. Played without pads and focused on timing, route running, coverage skills, and football IQ, 7v7 gives athletes valuable offseason reps that translate directly to the fall season. It provides a high-energy platform for players to improve technique, sharpen decision-making, and compete against top talent — all while building confidence, teamwork, and understanding of the game.

Young Coaches Initiative
At APEX, one of our core commitments is creating real opportunities for young coaches. We intentionally build our staff with young leaders because they bring relatability, fresh energy, and a level of connection that today’s athletes respond to. Many of us didn’t grow up in programs that gave young people a genuine chance to lead, so we want to change that. This philosophy is rooted in the foundations of Next Play — the belief that growth happens when someone believes in you early, hands you responsibility, and lets you learn in real time. By giving young coaches a platform, we’re not just filling positions; we’re opening doors, building confidence, and helping them develop skills that will shape their futures far beyond football. Our goal is to build a culture where leadership isn’t something you wait for — it’s something you grow into. When we invest in young coaches, we’re building a system where the next generation learns to mentor, serve, and lead with purpose, ensuring that our program stays authentic, community-driven, and focused on long-term growth for everyone involved.
